Indira C. Misra-Higgins, DO is the owner and sole practitioner of Beverly Hills Skin Care Institute (BHSCI). Dr. Misra-Higgins launched BHSCI in 2008 and has been in private practice as a dermatologist for over 20 years. Dr. Misra-Higgins earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University College of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at Wayne State University. She is a Beaumont-Royal Oak staff physician and has a passion for mentoring residents in the hospital and at BHSCI. Dr. Misra-Higgins cares deeply for her patients and provides highly-individualized care with patient goals, preferences, and lifestyles in mind.
She is known as an engaged, compassionate physician who seeks to collaborate with patients in the treatment of dermatological conditions and promotion of overall health. Beyond her patients and practice, Dr. Misra-Higgins is passionate about her role as a wife to her husband Rob and a mother to her two wonderful children, Robbie and Amylia. She is a proud 'dog mom' and she can hardly resist stopping to pet a dog while she's out and about. She is an avid runner and has completed four marathons, including the Boston Marathon. In her spare time, she can be spotted in her favorite local gym.
Christine is a certified medical assistant. She has worked with Dr. Misra-Higgins for 3 years. She is on the pre-Physician Assistant track, and hopes to work in Dermatology once completed. She played collegiate volleyball for Hillsdale College, and loves to stay active by playing beach volleyball and pick-up indoor volleyball.
Oana is a medical assistant that has been with Dr. Misra-Higgins for 2 years. She is a pre med student who is working on applying to medical school. She has graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelors in Public Health. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her dog Dolly and taking care of her plants.
McKenna is a pre med student who is currently applying to medical school. She has worked with Dr. MH as a medical assistant for 1 year. She graduated from GVSU with a degree in Biomedical Science and did a year of graduate school at Oakland University. She played college soccer at GVSU and is the oldest of 3 girls. In her free time she loves to exercise, hang out with family and friends, and do anything competitive.
Brandie is a licensed Aesthetician of 17 years with expertise in laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, microneedling and skincare treatments. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their skin care goals. She is also a mom of four and loves spending time traveling and watching her children play sports.
Ally has been with BHSCI since she began pursuing her bachelors in public health Wayne State University. She hopes to pursue a career in healthcare in the future. She has always had a passion for taking care of others and improving skin care. When she’s not at the office, she’s golfing or spending time with her friends, family, and dogs.
Rita has been working alongside Dr. Misra-Higgins for two years now and is currently a student at Oakland University in their nursing program. She hopes to further her career in becoming a nurse practitioner or CRNA. In Rita’s free time she loves to volunteer within her church, nanny, and spend time with family and friends.
Zahra graduated with her bachelors in Neuroscience from Wayne State University and she is a dedicated pre-PA student, passionate about helping others through medicine. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exploring new trails and baking sweet treats. She hopes to work in Dermatology after completing her studies.
Carmen is currently a student at Oakland University on the pre-Physician Assistant track. When she is not working or studying, she is either hanging out with friends or trying new foods.
Kim joined the BHSCI staff in January 2024 after retiring from teaching high school math. She enjoys working with people and likes the change of pace from teaching to office work. She hopes to be here for a number of years.
Hadley has worked in oncology, orthopedics, family medicine, and now dermatology. She graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelors in Human Biology. She is now studying at Wayne State University for the Masters in Physiology in hopes to go to medical school.
Monday 8am-5pm, Tuesday 8am-5pm, Wednesday closed, Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-12pm. The hours are flexible and may change.
